My mindset journey has been, and continues to be, an inspiration to me.  It all started accidentally when my daughter sent me an email saying “Mum enter this competition”.  I had no knowledge of mindset, I was totally oblivious of energy alignment.  Little did I know that, after 50 years, I finally knew what I wanted to do when I grew up!

Entering the competition, I won a free ticket to their mindset event.  Deciding to go, I ticked the box for Birmingham.  I also decided if I didn’t like it then I could slip out at coffee time and go shopping in Birmingham – I had a plan!

Coffee time arrived and I was not sure if to stay or leave.  I popped into the toilets where I bumped into one of the other members of the audience.  We commented on each others jackets, ended up having coffee together and I found myself walking back into the room with her.  There were a number of exercises during the day and I worked with this lady throughout, we got on so well.  I had no idea we would become the best of friends.  We have completed our business and mentor training journey together too.

Investing in mindset training, is it worth it?

I felt guilty at spending more money, especially as I had just signed up to do my Tony Robbins journey too.  Was it worth it?  Absolutely.

For the next 2 years I trained to be a coach by these two different gurus – Tony Robbins and Yvette Taylor.  When I sat in one event, I heard the other guru talking; they just presented their message in different ways.  One was very high energy, noisy, full on.  The other more gentle, quieter and very focused.  The message was the same – change your mindset change your life.   It was a very intense time and full immersion with both trainers.

I travelled to some amazing places for my Tony Robbins training including West Palm Beach USA twice, San Diego USA, Amsterdam twice,  London three times and his island in Fiji.   I have walked on fire twice, jumped off the top of a 50m pole and broke a piece of wood with my bare hand.

Adding to that, I attended four weekend meetings in the UK, a five day trip to a surprise destination, a three day course, plus online business training, regular mentor calls and numerous workbooks.  The surprise destination was to arrive at Stansted at 3am on this morning with your passport.  That was all we were told and I found myself in Crete for 5 days, working with some amazing people.

Can you change your mindset whilst still working in your old world?

In a word – Yes.  Whilst learning about mindset and energy I was fulfilling my business consultancy contracts.  I was also supporting both gurus helping behind the scenes at events and support mentoring.  It was a very intense 2 years to say the least; talk about full immersion into both methodologies! All achieved whilst completing my Energy Alignment accreditation and I have progressed to assessing others for their EAM accreditation too.

An outcome of all this intense training I am now a Senior Leader for Tony Robbins and one of the first 31 accredited EAM mentors in the world.  As I am sure you will agree, a very unique combination of skills that I can use within my coaching business.

Continuing to put all this learning into practice I am honoured to have clients all over the globe.  I am continuing my journey with Tony Robbins and also to be fully immersed in the energy alignment world.

The moral of this story?

My message is if you do not push yourself, you do not know what is on the other side.  Please try new things as you may just be missing out on the best thing that will ever happen to you.  If you don’t give it a go then you will never know how truly strong you are, inside.  Break through the barriers that are holding you back, uplevel and a whole new world will open up to you.  Give it a go, what have you got to loose?
