When working in the Corporate World, as part of regular training, I was shown many different time management tools and techniques. By applying the different teachings we would be more in control and get more done, or so the trainers said.
Having a list of jobs-to-do exceeding 4 pages was overwhelming. I was working 12 hours days in the office, from 7am to 7pm. Then going home and working till 2 or 3 in the morning. My life was unsustainable, yet I did it day after day.
All I could see was this massively long list, yet working long hours still the list did not shrink. To say I felt stressed, frustrated and overwhelmed would be an understatement. Unfortunately my health suffered and I ended up burnt out, exhausted and off work. Loosing sight of who I was and why I was working so hard was not even on my radar.
Leaving the Corporate world, due to voluntary severance so I could move to France, was a real release of pressure. I felt so much better and was able to take time to find out who I really was. As part of this journey I became more spiritual and woo-woo. Not too much, but enough to help me realise there was more to life that a list of jobs to do. Realising the importance of self-care and who I am deep inside was a real eye-opener for me.
My biggest learning point was understanding why I did what I did, alongside the realisation that I had my priorities totally wrong. Boy did I have a lot to learn! Travelling on my own personal development journey was a revelation. Following two very different life coaching gurus was an interesting journey and I finally found the answer to enjoying my life. I still have a list of jobs to do, but it is not all encompassing, like it used to be in Corporate world.
After my personal development journey, learning how to align my energy, I went on to become a mentor. As one of the first 31 accredited mentors, in the world, I am able to teach the Energy Alignment Method (EAM) modality. Having completed all my mentor and business coach training, I am now qualified to coach others through their own journey. I utilise all my skills, tools and techniques, learnt over the years, to guide and coach others.
I am very fortunate to have clients all over the world. They have achieve phenomenal transformations and are an inspiration to me. I am honoured to be able to guide them through their individual journeys, it really lights me up and I am very lucky to love my job, as a coach and a mentor.
